Inside the small cave, as the water subsides and spills back into Blood Lake, Zany lies on the floor exhausted and coughing up water. Zany rises up and peers out at Blood Lake from the mouth of the small cave. The small cave is 40 feet above ground level. There is a cobbled old stone ledge in ruins wrapping around the under belly of the cliff from the small cave, but the gaps in the stone ledge are too far apart to cross.
Zany notices a small golden glow coming from inside the cave. The golden glow is coming from Lu Lu’s lucky horseshoe that flowed into the cave with the tidal wave of the Sea Monster. Zany picks up the lucky horseshoe and shines it about the cave like a lit candle. Zany finds ancient drawings on the walls of the cave depicting a battle between the Leprechauns and the Trolls. There is a red star marking under a castle on one of the drawings.
Zany discovers a small opening in the back of the cave and scurries through it. The small winding passage way leads downward and opens up into a cavern. Puddles of red water are on the floor of the cavern as Zany makes his way through the cavern. Zany arrives at a small pond of water inside the cavern with large flat rocks set apart across the water stretching to the other side of the cavern. Jagged rocks like teeth of the cavern are on the right side of the cavern allowing red water from Blood Lake to flow into the pond.
Zany places the horseshoe into his pocket and hop scotches across the flat rocks. Midway thru his path the Sea Monster crashes into the teeth of the jagged rocks causing the cavern to violently shake. Zany loses his balance and plunges into the water amidst falling rocks from the ceiling of the cavern. The Sea Monster jammed up against the teeth of the jagged rocks unfurls its long blue tongue into the water.
The Sea Monster wraps his tongue around the leg of Zany and pulls Zany towards his jaws. A rock falls from the ceiling of the cavern striking the tongue of the Sea Monster thus freeing Zany to swim away onto a flat rock. Zany hop scotches across the remaining flat rocks as the Sea Monster lashes its tongue at Zany. Zany escapes into the tunnel on the other side of the cavern as the Sea Monster submerges back into the dark red waters of Blood Lake.
