As an active messenger of faith, love and peace in the country which had formerly tried to exterminate her, she spent an adventurous life reaching out to young people and women with the message of forgiveness and reconciliation. She authored 14 books in German, one a best seller, and her autobiography, YOLA—Forgive and Remember Nazi Rule, in English. She returned to her beloved adopted country, America, in 2012 where she continues to speak in schools and churches. She now lives with her family in Los Angeles, California.
